Mr. John B. Nuwamanya is a seasoned Electrical Engineer and Corporate Manager within Uganda’s Electricity supply industry (ESI). He has over 15 years of experience in Electricity Distribution Management, Distribution Utility Efficiency Management, Metering and Metering Systems Deployment, Project Management, Power Systems Design, Delivery of EPC+F turn key projects. He began his first year of his career with Incafex Solar Systems Ltd, as a Systems’ Design Engineer. He later moved to Umeme Limited, Uganda’s Leading Power Distributor where he served for 13 years in the following Technical and Managerial Positions; Graduate Engineer, Metering Engineer, Principal Metering Engineer, Metering Services Manager and Network Operations Manager. Upon his exit of Umeme Limited, He was appointed CEO of MTSL Energies Limited (Formerly trading as Megger Technical Services) to provide strategic leadership to the Company and its three affiliated companies in a bid to launch the Group to the next era of growth in alignment with the metamorphosis in the ESI in Uganda. John is currently pursuing his MBA from the University of Cumbria (Switzerland), He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute and a Bsc degree in Electrical Engineering from Makerere University. John is a Certified Asset Manager by the UK Charted Institute of Asset Managers, a member of ICH (International Center of Hydropower – Norway), a member of UIPE and IEEE..
